Simon Helping Jesus

(Last year's creation by my 8-year old "apo")

I used paint in tubes for my background and for the road. I used crayon and cray-pas for Simon and Jesus. I mixed some water on the cray-pas to make the smudges on Jesus' face. This is for the homeschool group's Station of the Cross tonight. It was fun to do but hard because I had to glue the figures on cardboard. They did not want to stand up and cutting cardboard is hard. Next year, I might just use clay and paint to make my station.

(My daughter's tweet on her 7-year old daughter after attending a mass.)

7yo after today's homily turns to me with a big smile: That was a very good homily! (I wonder what she knows about taking up one's cross.)
